It was a rainy stormy day here, but I found a ton of happy blue. I am often asked where I find my beads and the honest answer is anywhere I can. I shop local stores, but tend to by a bulk of my beads at the bead shows. Inter Gem comes to Seattle 2-3 times a year and I always find something different. I have not been to one in a while because I have sooo many beads, but Lindsey needed some silver beads for a project...so what is a mom to do but take her to the bead show. This was quite an undertaking as Lauren and Lindsey both were in tow and both have a thing for beads...sparkly shiny anything. This may have been a mistake to show them bead mecca...
I kept saying to myself...silver only, but you can see this just did not happen. The pyrite looked so vintagie and I am a sucker for anything that looks like sea glass.
Then off to the flea market "Second Saturday"...I did manage a little restraint here...but it was HARD.
I ran into Liz of Seabold Vintage Market...I shyly introduced myself. I had emailed her a while back saying that Flea Market Style was requesting favorite flea market spots from their readers, and she informed me that she was in fact in the magazine and I was quoted....WHAT???? So exciting to see my name in a magazine I adore. Then she gave me and Lauren these adorable pouches from her line...
I also spied this lovely blue seltzer bottle in her booth that goes great with my collection of mason jars...restraint meant I only bought 1 and not all 4...see honey I am doing better.
Then I found these lovely blue carmel eggs...let me say that again "carmel eggs in robins egg blue"! I did add some texture to the photo with textures from flora bella...yum.
I am hoping you found a little bit of blue sky too!
